song for the day: Nirvana - Come as You Are (Live Acoustic) HD

As I was dressing up to go to work today, I was thinking of how when artists get their fame, they suddenly lose their original steam and angst.
I saw a paparazzi picture of a pregnant Alanis in a bikini and I couldn't really reconcile that with the angsty artist she was in the 90s. Don't get me wrong, everyone deserves happiness, even if it means no more angsty brilliant music.

Kurt Cobain, was another thing. I don't remember the specifics of his suicide, I don't even know if he even told people why. I remember Courtney Love reading the letter outside their home. Maybe the suicide was a way to finally get out of the pain. He left the music that will remain his legacy. (No paparazzi photos lounging on the beach)

This is one of the most brilliant songs that they did. Unplugged, which started the "acoustic" genre that we have now.

  1. Hey Lizzie,

Good pick. Nirvana is my fave band of all time and I posted Plateau from the unplugged album on my blog.
